Each route is its own HTML file, assembled at build time from shared partials. There is no client-side router and no application to boot before the first word is readable.

Translation keyed on the English
Spanish rides along as a lookup keyed by the English string itself, so no page carries translation markup and a phrase written once is translated once. Only the entries a given page uses are inlined into it.

Theme and language before the first paint
Both resolve in an inline script in the head, so a stored choice never arrives as a flash of the other one.
